Recent CHPS Programs for Kids in the Community
In early November, CHPS facilitated two great opportunities for children to learn about the history of our area.
Fri Nov 1st
The Cranbury 2nd Grade Brownie Troop visited the History Center. Karen Kelley and Linda Schilling organized a perfectly age appropriate interactive experience for them to discover Cranbury and George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Parents also learned more about CHPS and membership.
Wed Nov 6th
Barbara “Bluejay” Michalski of the Lenape Nation of PA presented to Cranbury Middle School students! The students were attentive and very curious to touch and look closely at the cultural items she brought with her. Two flyers were sent home for families, one crediting CHPS for the speaker as part of our Youth Programming initiative plus family membership information and another advertising American History Family Game Night later this month for extra credit.
